Coalition of volunteers successful in getting Collier Behavioral Health Center built

Every so often, a cadre of determined volunteer do-gooders backed by voters who get the big picture spend a few years working on a problem and get it solved.

That can help everybody, even those who aren’t immediately touched by the problem.

Case in point: the Collier Coalition for Healthy Minds.

Now in the fifth of a five-year plan, the coalition of about 20 volunteers has effectively moved to save and restore healthy lives for a slew of people some- times ignored — those struggling with mental health and addiction….
