Sheriff’s Office addresses mental health

Receiving more than 1000 calls this year related to mental health, Collier County Sheriff’s Office has committed to adding resources to face the challenge of dealing with people suffering from mental health and addiction. The organization also recognizes that the need outweighs the available resources, and hopes to add more resources, which will help these people in a more preventative way than sending them through the judicial system.
